Ballyhoo Irish Whiskey

In anticipation of its own spirit maturing, the Connacht Whiskey Distillery on Ireland's west coast sourced this delightful grain Irish whiskey. Comprising a mash bill of 93% corn and 7% malted barley, it underwent an intriguing maturation process. After four years, it was transferred to sweet red tawny Port casks for an additional six months, imparting a new depth of flavour and rich colour. On the nose, floral notes intertwine with sweet melon and vanilla. Upon tasting, one experiences flavours of brown sugar and a hint of espresso, supported by dark fruits. The finish is spicy, tempered by a slight grain sweetness.
